SCENTED CANDLES FOR MEN

It seems in this day and time you can't go into an area dominated by a woman without detecting the 'aroma' (odorous terribilis) of some kind of bizarre scented candle. Everything from 'Boisonberry Vanilla Potpourri' to 'Spice Orange Jasmine Chocolate'. Sometimes it gives me a headache!

Well, it's about time men had their own scented candles. Below you will find a few scents men would appreciate.

ATTENTION WOMEN: I know a few of you will understand these. Most of you won't.

Letter from Dr. Starner Jones‏

It looks like this was a letter to the editor according to Snopes, but it is correctly attributed to Dr. Jones.

Pictured below is a young physician by the name of Dr. Starner Jones. His short two-paragraph letter to the White House accurately puts the blame on a "Culture Crisis" instead of a "Health Care Crisis". It's worth a quick read:

Untitled 513

Dear Mr. President:
During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone. While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses.
Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance.
It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me."
Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear
.

Respectfully,
STARNER JONES, MD

Top Ten LACKS that cause Churches and Christians to be STUCK

Attending the Mandate this week, I heard Greg Howse deliver 9 of these. I added the tenth. If you lead a church or ministry and seem to be stuck, this is a pretty good checklist.

The comments are my own:

1. Lack of Vision
A vision is a clear mental image of what it looks like when manifested. It's not a goal. It's the concept that a sculptor uses when confronted with a block of granite. He chips away everything that doesn't meet the vision he has. Seeing the end from the beginning. Clearly. Vision will drive you, it will keep you focused.

2. Lack of Leadership
Someone has to be in charge. While it has become popular to lead by consensus, it doesn't work as well as has been advertised. God always uses a man who carries the vision to do his work. (could be a woman) Its the leader that makes the difference. A stuck church is the result of a stuck leader.

3. Lack of system and structure
This is the culture. The way we do things. It should not change often. It should be dependable. This is not increasing committees and bureaucracy, it is making sure that every function is covered. The best philosophy is keep it simple and do less better. Too many stuck churches have too much going on. Not everything that could be done should be done. Keep the main thing the main thing.

4. Lack of skill and competence
Sometimes people get in over their head. They lack the ability to do what needs to be done. Some can be compensated for by education. Better by mentoring. AND not everyone is cut out to do everything. Do what you do well, and find someone to take care of the things you do not. Your desire to be the one who does all things well may be the thing that is causing your church to be stuck. It takes ten years to develop deep competence. Don't be impatient, be creatively discontent with where you are.

5. Lack of financial understanding
There is a syndrome in christianity. The anointing will fill up the checkbook. Money follows ministry. While that's true to a point, the least stuck churches are capable of making the buffalo on the nickle roar when pinched. This doesn't negate generosity, but placing a church income of several hundred thousand or a million dollars in the hands of someone who can't pay his or her own bills is a recipe for disaster. Learn about money....and use your knowledge. Money is a tool.

6. Lack of Order
There must be the capacity to stay in order, in life, in work, in churches. A pastor who's family is out of order cannot lead. Show me a stuck church and many times the marriage, family and finance in the leadership is out of order. A pastor who gets up at noon, doesn't go to bed and who's appetites are ungodly can't lead a church.

7. Lack of Prayer
This is not having prayer meetings, this is time alone with God, time where a leader talks to but more important hears from God. IF this isn't happening a church will come to a halt. Get out of the boardroom and into the prayer closet if you want to get unstuck. Don't read your Bible. Hear what the Spirit is saying to you. Silently. Write down what you hear. God wants you to be the head and not the tail. He is telling you how. Hear him if you still have spiritual ears.

8. Lack of Faith that brings things HOPED for to pass
The ability to believe for big things with real faith is a test many stuck churches are not passing. People in many churches have faith in faith not faith in God. Confession, loud prayer, prophecy, and declarations are no substitute for a hard core confidence in God, trust, faith, conviction that causes things hoped for to manifest. This is a stumbling block that is not done by method, it is done by knowing God and believing him over your own ability.

9. Lack of Management when those things hoped for manifest
Some Churches have seen their best days. Now they are going backwards. Stuck. They could not manage the blessings of God when they came. Certainly there is an ebb and flow. It is important to be a good steward of the provision of God. This is more than money management, this is taking care of what God puts in your hands. A member gives you a car and you don't take care of it. That becomes a symbol of how you treat all gifts from God. Be thankful and careful with what God places in your hand.

10. Lack of consistency and persistence
Many churches are stuck because they are a moving target. Service times, service places, service formats, even IF there is going to be a service. One of the most successful pastor's I ever knew, Dan Rothwell, would always say, I will be here every Sunday Morning, every Sunday Night, Every Wednesday Night and every Saturday Morning and Evening for prayer. I hope you will join me. His consistency and persistence were his success. Even in North Dakota he almost never canceled church for weather.

Bob Schmidgall from Calvary Church would say if questioned, "You knew a YEAR AGO we would be having church today".

That kind of steady consistency became a comfort to those attached to their ministries. Stuck Churches sometimes suffer from inconsistency. They are not persistent in what God has called them to be and they give up too soon.

Examine these and if you find yourself lacking these...change and get UNSTUCK

It is for ME

The concept of a “retirement age” is becoming irrelevant, at least according to a new study of middle-class Americans.

Whether it's a desire to reach a certain nest-egg number, dealing with rising health-care costs, or grappling with mortgage debt, more workers are deciding to delay retirement.

A quarter of middle-class Americans — defined as earning between $25,000 and $99,000 annually — say they will “need to work until at least age 80,” according to the annual retirement study by Wells Fargo [WFC 24.69 0.02 (+0.08%)

"Another interesting shift in the mindset of Americans is their perception of how much money they need. Three-fourths of respondents said it's more important to have a specific amount versus a date: $350,000 was the median nest-egg goal, but median retirement savings were only $25,000 dollars," said Laurie Nordquist, executive vice president of institutional retirement at Wells Fargo.

Obama
It's hard to remember the dark days before 2008. It was a time of hatred, racism, violence, obese children, war, untaxed rich people, and incandescent light bulbs -- perhaps the worst days we had ever seen. And at the heart of it all was a thuggish, thoughtless man, George W. Bush, who lashed out angrily at whatever he didn't understand -- and he understood so very little. Then there was that laugh of his -- that horrible snicker that mocked everything intelligent and nuanced. Also, he looked like a chimp.

It seemed like the end for the United States of America. We would crumble in the hands of vicious, superstitious dimwits determined to hunt "ter'ists" or other figments of Bush's rotten mind. There was nothing left to do but head to Whole Foods to prepare our organic, sustainable, fair-trade last meal as the country ended around us. Despair had overtaken us, and we wondered aloud whether we could ever feel hope again.

And then a man emerged who firmly answered, "Yes we can!"

Oh, but Barack Obama was no mere man. He was a paragon of intelligence and civilized society. A savior to the world's depressed. A lightbringer. A genius thinking thoughts the common man could never hope to comprehend. And his words -- his beautiful words read from crystal panes -- reached down to our souls and told us all would be well. With the simple act of casting a ballot for Barack Obama, we could make the world an immeasurably better place -- a world of peace, of love, of understanding, of unicorns, of rainbows, of expanded entitlements. This was his promise. And now, having had him as president for more than two years, we can say without reservation that he has delivered all his promises and more and is the best president this country -- or any country -- has ever had or could even imagine to have.

A mature (over 60) lady gets pulled over for speeding...

Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.

... Older Woman: Oh, I see.

Officer: Can I see your license please?

Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.

Officer: Don't have one?

Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.

Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.

Older Woman: I can't do that.

Officer: Why not?

Older Woman: I stole this car.

Officer: Stole it?

Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.

Officer: You what?

Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see

The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.

Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please! The woman steps out of her vehicle.

Older woman: Is there a problem sir?

Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.

Older Woman: Murdered the owner?

Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.

The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?

Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The officer is quite stunned.

Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.

The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.

Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

WILL WE KNOW THE FACE OF GOD WHEN WE SEE HIM.....??

Daniel's Gloves

(Author Unknown....or is it? Please read on.)

I sat, with two friends, in the picture window of a quaint restaurant just off the corner of the town-square. The food and the company were both especially good that day.

As we talked, my attention was drawn outside, across the street.. There, walking into town, was a man who appeared to be carrying all his worldly goods on his back. He was carrying, a well-worn sign that read, 'I will work for food.' My heart sank..

I brought him to the attention of my friends and noticed that others around us had stopped eating to focus on him. Heads moved in a mixture of sadness and disbelief.

We continued with our meal, but his image lingered in my mind. We finished our meal and went our separate ways. I had errands to do and quickly set out to accomplish them. I glanced toward the town square, looking somewhat halfheartedly for the strange visitor. I was fearful, knowing that seeing him again would call some response. I drove through town and saw nothing of him. I made some purchases at a store and got back in my car.

Deep within me, the Spirit of God kept speaking to me: 'Don't go back to the office until you've at least driven once more around the square.'

Then with some hesitancy, I headed back into town. As I turned the square's third corner, I saw him. He was standing on the steps of the store front church, going through his sack.

I stopped and looked; feeling both compelled to speak to him, yet wanting to drive on. The empty parking space on the corner seemed to be a sign from God: an invitation to park. I pulled in, got out and approached the town's newest visitor.

'Looking for the pastor?' I asked.

'Not really,' he replied, 'just resting.'

'Have you eaten today?'

'Oh, I ate something early this morning.'

'Would you like to have lunch with me?'

'Do you have some work I could do for you?'

'No work,' I replied 'I commute here to work from the city, but I would like to take you to lunch..'

'Sure,' he replied with a smile.

As he began to gather his things, I asked some surface questions. 'Where you headed?'

' St.. Louis '

'Where you from?'

'Oh, all over; mostly Florida ..'

'How long you been walking?'

'Fourteen years,' came the reply.

I knew I had met someone unusual. We sat across from each other in the same restaurant I had left earlier. His face was weathered slightly beyond his 38 years. His eyes were dark yet clear, and he spoke with an eloquence and articulation that was startling. He removed his jacket to reveal a bright red T-shirt that said, 'Jesus is The Never Ending Story.'

Then Daniel's story began to unfold. He had seen rough times early in life. He'd made some wrong choices and reaped the consequences.. Fourteen years earlier, while backpacking across the country, he had stopped on the beach in Daytona. He tried to hire on with some men who were putting up a large tent and some equipment.. A concert, he thought.

He was hired, but the tent would not house a concert but revival services, and in those services he saw life more clearly. He gave his life over to God

'Nothing's been the same since,' he said, 'I felt the Lord telling me to keep walking, and so I did, some 14 years now.'

'Ever think of stopping?' I asked.

'Oh, once in a while, when it seems to get the best of me but God has given me this calling. I give out Bibles. That's what's in my sack. I work to buy food and Bibles, and I give them out when His Spirit leads.'

I sat amazed. My homeless friend was not homeless.. He was on a mission and lived this way by choice. The question burned inside for a moment and then I asked: 'What's it like?'

'What?'

'To walk into a town carrying all your things on your back and to show your sign?'

'Oh, it was humiliating at first. People would stare and make comments. Once someone tossed a piece of half-eaten bread and made a gesture that certainly didn't make me feel welcome. But then it became humbling to realize that God was using me to touch lives and change people's concepts of other folks like me.'

My concept was changing, too.. We finished our dessert and gathered his things. Just outside the door, he paused He turned to me and said, 'Come Ye blessed of my Father and inherit the kingdom I've prepared for you. For when I was hungry you gave me food, when I was thirsty you gave me drink, a stranger and you took me in.'

I felt as if we were on holy ground. 'Could you use another Bible?' I asked.

He said he preferred a certain translation. It traveled well and was not too heavy. It was also his personal favorite. 'I've read through it 14 times,' he said.

'I'm not sure we've got one of those, but let's stop by our church and see' I was able to find my new friend a Bible that would do well, and he seemed very grateful.

Where are you headed from here?' I asked.

'Well, I found this little map on the back of this amusement park coupon.'

'Are you hoping to hire on there for awhile?'

'No, I just figure I should go there. I figure someone under that star right there needs a Bible, so that's where I'm going next.'

He smiled, and the warmth of his spirit radiated the sincerity of his mission. I drove him back to the town-square where we'd met two hours earlier, and as we drove, it started raining. We parked and unloaded his things.

'Would you sign my autograph book?' he asked. 'I like to keep messages from folks I meet.'

I wrote in his little book that his commitment to his calling had touched my life. I encouraged him to stay strong. And I left him with a verse of scripture from Jeremiah, 'I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you; Plans to give you a future and a hope.'

'Thanks, man,' he said.. 'I know we just met and we're really just strangers, but I love you.'

'I know,' I said, 'I love you, too.' 'The Lord is good!'

'Yes, He is. How long has it been since someone hugged you?' I asked.

A long time,' he replied

And so on the busy street corner in the drizzling rain, my new friend and I embraced, and I felt deep inside that I had been changed.. He put his things on his back, smiled his winning smile and said, 'See you in the New Jerusalem.'

'I'll be there!' was my reply.

He began his journey again. He headed away with his sign dangling from his bedroll and pack of Bibles. He stopped, turned and said, 'When you see something that makes you think of me, will you pray for me?'

'You bet,' I shouted back, 'God bless.'

'God bless.' And that was the last I saw of him.

Late that evening as I left my office, the wind blew strong. The cold front had settled hard upon the town. I bundled up and hurried to my car. As I sat back and reached for the emergency brake, I saw them.... a pair of well-worn brown work gloves neatly laid over the length of the handle. I picked them up and thought of my friend and wondered if his hands would stay warm that night without them.

Then I remembered his words: 'If you see something that makes you think of me, will you pray for me?'

Today his gloves lie on my desk in my office. They help me to see the world and its people in a new way, and they help me remember those two hours with my unique friend and to pray for his ministry. 'See you in the New Jerusalem,' he said. Yes, Daniel, I know I will...

'I shall pass this way but once.. Therefore, any good that I can do or any kindness that I can show, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again.'

This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.. Please do not break this pattern. Prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another. God bless and have a nice day!

'Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and e-mail buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very moment.. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace, In Jesus' precious Name Amen.'

May GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR YOU ARE PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT...

Why did we EVER DO THIS???

The Treasury Department dramatically boosted its estimate of losses from its $85 billion auto industry bailout by more than $9 billion in the face of General Motors Co.'s steep stock decline.

In its monthly report to Congress, the Treasury Department now says it expects to lose $23.6 billion, up from its previous estimate of $14.33 billion.

The Treasury now pegs the cost of the bailout of GM, Chrysler Group LLC and the auto finance companies at $79.6 billion. It no longer includes $5 billion it set aside to guarantee payments to auto suppliers in 2009.

The big increase is a reflection of the sharp decline in the value of GM's share price.

The current estimate of losses is based on GM's Sept. 30 closing price of $20.18, down one-third over the previous quarterly price.

GM's stock closed Monday at $22.99, up 2 percent. The government won't reassess the estimate of the costs until Dec. 30.

The government has recovered $23.2 billion of its $49.5 billion GM bailout, and cut its stake in the company from 61 percent to 26.5 percent. But it has been forced to put on hold the sale of its remaining 500 million shares of stock.

On Torture

George "Bud" Day -- Medal of Honor Winner

I got shot down over
N Vietnam in 1967, a Sqdn. Commander.
After I returned in 1973...I published 2 books that dealt a lot
with "real torture" in Hanoi . Our make-believe president is
branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has
NO idea what torture is.

As for me, I was put thru a mock execution because I would not respond...
pistol-whipped on the head....same event.. Couple of days later...
hung by my feet all day. I escaped and a couple of weeks later, I got
shot and recaptured. Shot was OK...what happened afterwards was not.

They marched me to Vinh...put me in the rope trick, ... almost
pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a
little wooden rod until my eyes were swelled shut, and my unshot,
unbroken hand a pulp.

Next day hung me by the arms...rebroke my right wrist...wiped
out the nerves in my arms that control the hands....rolled my fingers
up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my L forefinger.
so I started answering with some incredible lies.

Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck.

Hanoi ..on my knees....rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.

into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.

much kneeling--hands up at Zoo.

Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru
kneeling holes.

There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior
officer of a large building because of escape...they started a mass
torture of all commanders.

I think it was July 7, 1969...they started beating me with a car fan belt.
In first 2 days I took over 300 strokes...then stopped counting
because I never thought I would live thru it.

They continued day-night torture to get me to confess to a non-existent
part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees...
fan-belting...cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. Opened up
both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger...I could not
lie on my back.

They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape...and
that my 2 room-mates knew about it.

The next day I denied the lie.

They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9 strokes of
the fan belt every day from about July 11 or 12th..to 14 October
1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again.

Now, the point of this is that our make-believe
President has declared to the world that we (U.S..) are a bunch of
torturers...Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they
Catch us...because that is what the U.S. does.

Our make-believe president is a know nothing fool who thinks
that pouring a little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of
women's pants over an Arabs head is TORTURE.. He is a meathead.

I just talked to Medal Of Honor holder Leo Thorsness, who was also in my squadron,
In jail...as was John McCain...and we agree that McCain does
NOT speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was
Torture...or that "water boarding" is torture.

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing
our great country are a disgrace to the United States . Please pass
this info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the
stupidity of the claims that water boarding...which has no after
effect...is torture.
If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC ....
Hurrah for the guy who poured the water !!

"Dear Lord,

So far today, God, I've done all right.
I haven't gossiped, I haven't lost my temper,
I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or over-indulgent.
I'm really glad about that.

But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed,
and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help.

Thank you. Amen.

U.S. Supreme Court Has Ruled on Obama’s Eligibility!! Citizens 4 Freedom

According to the United States Supreme Court, Obama is ineligible to be the President. That’s right, you read that correctly. The United States Supreme Court has ruled that Obama is ineligible to serve as President.

It’s not that you haven’t been paying attention lately and yes, you can be excused for missing the ruling as it came down, not in the last few days but back in 1875.

This is the argument currently being made by the Liberty Legal Foundation.

The Liberty Legal Foundation has filed not 1 but 2 lawsuits, one in Arizona and the other in Tennessee neither of which have one single thing to do with Obama’s birth certificate OR challenging whether or not Obama was born in the United States.

There is no need for either in regard to these lawsuits.

At the core of this action is a simple request that Federal courts uphold the Supreme Court ruling. Both lawsuits, and the Liberty Legal Foundation promises there will be more, would render it impossible for the Democratic National Committee to place Obama’s name on the 2012 ballot.

THE DIFFERENCE IF YOU MARRY A NORTH DAKOTA GIRL

Three friends married women from different parts of the world.
The first man married a Filipino. He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away.

The second man married a Thai. He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn’t see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married a girl from North Dakota. He ordered her to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn’t see anything, the second day he didn't see anything but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye and his arm was healed enough that he could fix himself a sandwich and load the dishwasher. He still has some difficulty when he pees.

Leadership: We're starting to grasp how hard a job the president has. It can't be easy to rule a country filled with so many soft, lazy, greedy fat cats who can't make good stuff anymore.

At a business forum Saturday, President Obama complained that "we've been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades." He apparently meant we've let foreign investment go slack, since "we aren't out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new business into America."

But this is just the latest slur against the United States uttered by its leader.

In October, Obama complained that "we have lost our ambition, our imagination and our willingness to do the things that built the Golden Gate Bridge." Earlier that month he groused that the U.S. "used to have the best stuff" but doesn't anymore. In September he described America as having "gotten a little soft."

And that's when he hasn't been complaining about greedy Wall Street executives who think they deserve to make a profit.

This seems really really creepy to me now

What would be great to see! Holder, Biden and Obama

Obama under investigation

In our last press release, we stated that we had been doing some investigative work, but could not detail our location, due to the sensitive nature of the work we were doing. At this point, The Birther Summit is able to state that our investigation encompassed the greater Honolulu area, where, for two weeks, we were able to uncover key pieces of evidence regarding what are believed by many to be fraudulent documents that have been released to the public.

I'm not a libertarian because of the social issues, but this is good

From this article:

Why I Lean Libertarian, Part 1 | Marotta On Money

My youthful utopian idealism gave way slowly to my present midlife perspective. My life’s philosophical and experiential odyssey overturned many of my presuppositions. I learned over time that many of society’s assumptions are provably false. But it took courage to integrate this radical re-evaluation of life.

1. Centralized power in government fosters corruption.
2. Controlling other people’s lives is wrong.
3. Government regulation does not create security.

And the second part:
4. Government monopolies kill innovation and efficiency.
5. Many government-run agencies are inefficient, wasteful monopolies
6. The costs of regulatory compliance are often greater than direct taxation.
7. Regulatory compliance only means your paperwork in is order.

Critical Thinking Versus Positive Thinking

The masses falsely believes in positive thinking. There is a dopamine response in the brain the makes us addicted to feeling good. Critical thinking uses multiple parts of the brain which engages us to look at both positive and negative. As a society we are addicted to this dopamine reaction. Just stop and look at the weight problem, the drugs, alcohol abuse.

The masses keep searching for things that just feel good.

Critical thinking not only is a function of business I believe that it’s essential to look at in all areas in life. I don’t believe one can become a world class thinker without evaluating critical thinking in all areas.

The masses just want to feel good which is usually why they won’t go through the struggles to excel themselves to world class thinking. Which in turn lies the great problem in America, we want to feel good without looking through a lens of objective reality.

In times of stress and when under duress by daily life, we all make snap judgments and decision, some right, some wrong. Once the stress/duress is gone, you can revisit these decisions, analyze them with critical thinking and then, if necessary, desirable or even possible, correct them. As we are all emotional creatures, wrong decisions will be made. World-class thinking will help you find them, and take whatever corrective actions are necessary.

People use “positive feeling” to determine their reality. Hence, truth becomes distorted through “feeling goggles”. We start with a preconceived belief that feels good. Just because we believe something does not make it true (ie The world is flat). Critical thinking causes us to shift our paradigms and that causes uncomfortable feelings and we resist that at our own demise.

World-class critical thinking starts with yourself. Positive thinking is easy, as you don’t have to confront your own demons. In critical thinking you have to look yourself in the mirror and admit all your own faults. You have to re evaluate all your belief systems, you might have to questions everything you have learned in life, including your parents, teachers or other influential people.

A Thought I stole from Someone...but it's good

What it takes to be great
October 19 2006

Scientific experts are producing remarkably consistent findings across a wide array of fields...talent doesn't mean intelligence, motivation or personality traits.

It's an innate ability to do some specific activity especially well.

"The evidence we have surveyed ... does not support the [notion that] excelling is a consequence of possessing innate gifts."

In virtually every field of endeavor, most people learn quickly at first, then more slowly and then stop developing completely. Yet a few do improve for years and even decades, and go on to greatness.

The first major conclusion is that nobody is great without work...There's no evidence of high-level performance without experience or practice.

The most accomplished people need around ten years of hard work before becoming world-class, a pattern so well established researchers call it the ten-year rule.

So greatness isn't handed to anyone; it requires a lot of hard work. Yet that isn't enough, since many people work hard for decades without approaching greatness or even getting significantly better. What's missing?

The best people in any field are those who devote the most hours to what the researchers call "deliberate practice." It's activity that's explicitly intended to improve performance, that reaches for objectives just beyond one's level of competence, provides feedback on results and involves high levels of repetition.

For most people, work is hard enough without pushing even harder. Those extra steps are so difficult and painful they almost never get done...If great performance were easy, it wouldn't be rare.

These Chinese who are bloodier, dirtier, more depraved than the Japanese military during the rape of Nanking in World War II have stepped over their countless innocent victims. Don’to be fooled because China is extremely low class: they are not human. Using technology China has infiltrated all places in this world utilizing inhumane methods to terrorize innocent laborers and establishing a stable of their demons (politicians, reporters) who slaughter throughout the free world.

Are you aware that the news you are watching is interlaced with Communist China's propaganda,as
Communist China maps a realm of news with innocent lives?
Communist China is scheming a millennial terrorist activity by manipulating people's behaviors
through "electromagnetic waves" to contain criticism and harm innocent human lives.

1. The anomaly in community traffic of cars and motorcycles and drag racing, and reckless honking by
cars and motorcycles is exceeding an unprecedented level.
2. Communist China has the technology to scan the human brain waves through military satellite and
to discern and decipher their thoughts, scheming to instill individual interference focusing on
each individual in need using the satellite "electromagnetic waves".
3. Deploying "electromagnetic waves" is poised to project onto the human brain with certain
sounds for the perception of grossly traumatizing or startling pain,or deploying the broadcast
of noise via electromagnetic waves in sleeping humans with edited clips of films or through
voice or image signals onto our brains or besiege our sensory functions with fabricated
audible and sensory illusions.
