When social program houses of cards collapse. An estimated 300,000 people in IL are on medicaid and are not supposed to be. There needs to be a scrubbing of the roles. This should be done by the agency itself, BUT if you scrub the roles, government jobs will be lost and people who formerly administered these 300,000 will be out of work...so what do you think happens. The tattoo removal business is booming these days, as youthful decisions quickly turn into grown-up regrets. Of the 40 million Americans who've been inked at least once, one in six end up regretting it. For the full story, go to TheBostonChannel.com.
In a public statement Jesse Jackson expressed disappointment that Zimmerman is posting bond (which is his legal right). After yesterday's remembrance of the Holocaust where millions died at the hands of demonically influenced people, I am not impressed with his faux outrage. The witch hunt this race hustler is encouraging is a slippery slope. Be very careful who you choose to follow. The goose will end up getting the same treatment as the gander if Jackson's form of justice is put in place. We either are a nation of laws or mob rule and anarchy. Demagogues like Jackson need to sit down. Just like Hitler should have been long ago. I know this spirit and it is evil.
I have been considering the widespread disease problems in our culture. Many who think they are put upon, are used, abused, victims, done wrong, injustices, disrespected and a hundred other offenses (real and imagined) are killing themselves by holding a grudge and harboring bitterness. We have been so busy casting out all kinds of demons and this one walks with it's head held high among us all manifesting itself as disease. We have been told a lie: that it's OK for us to angry with the OTHER because of their slight ... and it's killing us. Even MAYO clinic knows this spiritual truth.

I approve of this concept. Christ is a swear word to some, an empty word to others and Jesus last name. It should have always been "The anointed one and his anointing". That's how they treat Jesus in this. There are third rails in Christianity; 23rd Psalm, Beatitudes, Lords Prayer, Malachi 3, Prodigal Son etc, Things that have such hackneyed and cliched usage from bad teaching that it has lost it's power to move people. If this has ripped out some of that third rail I support the effort.

During the message at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria, Roman Catholic Bishop Daniel Jenky contended social services for Catholics could be eliminated if Obama's directive to include contraceptives in health insurance continues. Jenky went on to compare the actions to past cultural wars against the Catholic Church.

“Remember that in past history other governments have tried to force Christians to huddle and hide only within the confines of their churches like the first disciples locked up in the Upper Room,” Jenky said.

In comparison, he pointed to Otto von Bismarck's "culture war against the Roman Catholic Church, closing down every Catholic school and hospital, convent and monastery in Imperial Germany."

“Clemenceau, nicknamed ‘the priest eater,’ tried the same thing in France in the first decade of the 20th Century," Jenky said. "Hitler and Stalin, at their better moments, would just barely tolerate some churches remaining open, but would not tolerate any competition with the state in education, social services and health care."

"In clear violation of our First Amendment rights, Barack Obama, with his radical, pro-abortion and extreme secularist agenda, now seems intent on following a similar path,” he said.

Do "Statistics" keep Racism Alive in America?

These are Commonly Quoted Numbers:

Crime Rates

* Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.
* When blacks commit crimes of violence, they are nearly three times more likely than non-blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.
* Hispanics commit violent crimes at roughly three times the white rate, and Asians commit violent crimes at about one quarter the white rate.
* The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is black and Hispanic.

Interracial Crime

* Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.
* Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are black.
* Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.
* Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa.
I see these numbers published often to help people justify why it's OK to shun the "Other". If they are widely believed by the masses, it's no wonder racism stays alive. We have a horse before the cart conundrum. IF these are legitimate, then, do we attempt to nullify and modify the racial attitudes they inevitably produce, or do we make more vigorous attempts to change the culture, hearts and mindsets that produces a set of statistics like this?

Are the leaders in the culture where these issues are most manifested prepared to stand up and take authority over the dysfunctional mindsets ... on both sides.

Or do we allow another Trayvon Martin event to polarize us further?

Why Are We Unreasonable?

Unreasonable people see the world as it should be and not how it is today. We don’t want incremental improvements but a whole new way of solving customer problems. A fundamental tenet for me is to pursue a market where there is no comparable competitor for how we defined the solution. The benefits are measured by a factor of 10x and a look of wow!

Unreasonable people change their methods but not their goals. When you have an innovation in white space, your assumptions on many aspects are going to be all wrong. Learning fast and acting quickly is required to keep adjusting the product, technology and go-to-market since it is brand new in how the product is developed, used and sold. However, in the mind’s-eye is a vision that continues to be revolutionary. That is why we stubbornly hold dearly some fundamental capabilities.

The Reality of God in America by Steve Duignan

Everyone who comes to God has a Burning Bush experience – they must turn aside to see Him. Becoming a Christian is not an intellectual experience in which we accept the existence of God because He has been proven to exist. As it says in Hebrews 11:6 - “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”

It was only after Great Awakening in the 1730’s – 40’s that the idea of the United States emerged. People could see a nation birthed in freedom because they had personally met God – the author and giver of freedom.

Only after a Second Great Awakening from 1800-1840 that America could purge itself of slavery – proof that all men could be free in a nation founded on liberty.

It will take a third Great Awakening to return us to the truth that individuals with freedoms and responsibilities are greater than a ruling class of godless elites who claim to know better how to run our lives than we do.

Ultimately, the way each American sees reality - our world-view – will determine whether our nation returns to its Christian roots or descends into yet another grey failed socialist experiment.

Before meeting Jesus personally, all other possibilities seem real. After meeting Him, there is no other door possible. (Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death)

Many Christian leaders first examined Liberal, Progressive, Marxist ideals – which seem right to the natural mind. After meeting Jesus, only His Kingdom is right – unshakable, meeting every need of the human heart.

Our understanding of America can only come through the Kingdom of God – through the Biblical Worldview. Others can study and observe the “rightness” of a nation based on individual freedom and responsibility, but they must ultimately return to their own logic – their own logical worldview:

  • All truth must be supported by science
  • Evolution is the natural order of things – Creation sounds good, but it’s a myth
  • It is unfair for God to bless some people while leaving others without.
  • No one religion can be pre-eminent - it isn’t fair - therefore government (the ultimate judge of fairness) cannot allow any single religion to be expressed in the public square.

Only “Awakening” can reverse the course away from the founding wisdom of America – when our Fathers told us that only a nation of Christian people can make freedom work. Only those with the inner-regulation of the Holy Spirit can see how it works and live peaceably in it.

John Adams (2nd US President, Signer of the Declaration of Independence) said: "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion… Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Running on Empty: The Cliché Candidacy of Barack Obama

The last few weeks have been disastrous ones for the Obama re-election effort. The evidence for this is in several areas, including public opinion surveys. The Rasmussen daily tracking survey, one of the very few to use a likely voter screen at this point in the cycle, now has Mitt Romney leading Obama by five points. A new Fox survey of registered voters has Obama with his lowest approval number to date at 42%, trailing Romney head-to-head by 2%.

A debate between a Professor and a Christian Student

This has been floating around for a while, attributed to Albert Einstein. It's not true. It's just a well developed argument presented as a conversation. YET...it's worth reading. If you are going to debate an atheist sometime...this is good stuff

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

According to this author there was a conspiracy to destroy the USA, It began in Nazi Germany...this was the outline of their strategies. I didn't write this... BUT if it's true, they have succeeded and we have failed. This is what compromise does to a person and to a nation. Compromise doesn't remove the tension, it weakens the resolve. We have been weakened. I am old enough to remember when many of these things were unthinkable...... but this has happened without a whimper...from the CHURCH

mirror image of the Trayvon Martin incident

If you were looking for a mirror image of the Trayvon Martin incident, here you go. This happened a few days ago, but oddly enough the national media hasn’t made it into a big story. I wonder why?
Police are saying more about a shooting at a Taco Bell Tuesday night in which one man died.
They’re also identifying the victim as 29-year-old Daniel Adkins.
About 7:30 p.m., a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend ordered food at the Taco Bell drive-thru and were told to pull up while their order was prepared.
At the same time, Adkins stepped around a corner into the path of the vehicle and angry words were exchanged between he and the driver.
They got into an altercation and Adkins was shot once by the driver. He died at the scene.
The driver, a 22-year-old black male, called police but has not been arrested.
At first, the couple claimed that Adkins had a metal pipe that he swung at them — but it turns out he was holding a dog leash with his yellow lab on the other end.

Things You Cannot Say

This whole non-debate is dismaying but also puzzling. Our attorney general said he wanted to have a frank national conversation about race. What that seems to have meant is national sermonizing about race. Is it the case that certain questions about race are simply unmentionable? You might point to what happened to John Derbyshire and say: “You dope, of course they are. Look what happened to him!”

Not exactly shocking news for those exposed to them for years, but the respected Pew Research Center has determined that political liberals are far less tolerant of opposing views than regular Americans.

In a new study, the Pew Center for the Internet and American Life Project confirmed what most intelligent Americans had long sensed. That is, whenever they are challenged or confronted on the hollow falsity of their orthodoxy -- such as, say, uniting diverse Americans -- liberals tend to respond defensively with anger, even trying to shut off or silence critics.
