This is beyond belief. Remember Rocky and Bullwinkle? Fractured Fairy Tales? This is that. SMH
OH RATS... I thought that every time I was scanned thru one (latest in Fargo ND) I was giving those TSA agents a real thrill. LOL
Wednesday (Jan. 16). Tyrone Lawson's mother dropped him off at Chicago State University, for the game, and would never see him alive again. She gave him $10 to get in the game and $7 for spending money.

Is anyone else as sick of this as I am? The video of the brawl is horrid. AND there was HUGE security at this game. Scanners. The whole thing. Cops everywhere. You can't solve this by banning or scanning. I am going to beat the drum until someone hears it. This was a good kid, killed by a bad culture. Stop blaming Guns and start looking at what is in the hearts of people with live bodies and dead souls walking around doing this.
This is right up there with 'How Dumb can you BE an Still Breathe". This will guarantee that it will be screwed up.
YOU KNEW this was coming. This was what Bengazi was all about too
Islamist hostage takers in Algeria demand release of ‘Blind Sheikh,' Omar Abdel-Rahman, ’93 WTC bomber, in exchange for two Americans

We have to STOP this insanity...

I don't get it...

One thing I admire about Obama is his Family, wife, children. He is a good example. My concern is there is a disconnect between his example and his policies.

If gun-control worked, the president's hometown would be safe. Instead, gangs of fatherless youths daily kill other fatherless youths. How about an executive order endorsing marriage and intact families? But instead we have Gays in military, Homosexual Marriage, Abortion Support and all kinds of attacks on Religious liberty.

I don't get it...

Did Morsi pass the background check??

The news about Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian leader Mohamed Morsi’s anti-Semitic rant (from late 2010..he referred to Israeli Jews as “bloodsuckers” and “descendents of apes and pigs”) has finally been picked up by traditional media outlets.

We already knew about Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood connections, about his centralization of power, about his affinity for Sharia law. We already knew about the increasing oppression of Christians in Egypt.

So why is the U.S. proceeding with plans to give Egypt 20 F-16 fighters and 200 Abrams tanks?

Hey President Obama–you want to talk about guns?

Did Morsi pass the background check??

Egypt is fast becoming a Middle Eastern version of Haiti

Egypt is fast becoming a Middle Eastern version of Haiti: a country without meaningful tourism, minimal foreign investment, massive capital flight, and eventually an exodus of its best and brightest. That, of course, will inevitably become a crisis for Egypt’s neighbors, who will be forced to shoulder the political and security burdens of its implosion. But most of all, it is a tragedy for Egyptians themselves, who, having once dreamed of greater political liberalism after Mubarak, have woken up to an economic nightmare presided over by the Muslim Brotherhood. http://www.forbes.com/sites/ilanberman/2013/01/14/the-brotherhoods-agenda-cairos-catastrophe/

How To Be A Super-Achiever: The 10 Qualities That Matter

The Markers of our Toxic Culture

I have been talking about the decline in our toxic culture. It is characterized by 5 Markers. This is what is ruining us in the USA. It's not the result of not knowing Jesus. Most CHRISTIANS I know embrace SOME or ALL of these attitudes. My concerns about our culture is the result of what I see everywhere as I travel around.  It's not pretty:

1. Our toxic culture has become OBESE.
We are really fat, Obese. I am condemned by this as well. How did it become OK to indulge my flesh to the point of damaging my health. Look around our churches. WE ARE FAT. We most often do the good pentecostal thing... eat. We don't drink or smoke weed. We EAT. Obesity is a marker of a our toxic culture of indulgence that says; "I deserve this".

2. Our toxic culture won't deal with illegitimacy and rampant out of wedlock births.
An extraordinary percentage of births are now out of wedlock and illegitimate. It is now accepted. Not endorsed. Accepted. The CHURCH doesn't deal with it for fear of heaping condemnation on many in their congregations. Dealing with this issue isn't about showing love or not,  but about erecting a righteous Ebenezer stone that says... this is the standard, no further. Let's live it.

3. Our toxic culture encourages women to marry UP .. so marriages don't happen.
I know too many women wanting to marry and too many men also wanting to marry to believe that it is a matter of statistics. Women desire to marry WAY UP. The term is Hypergamy.   There is a parallel, women who get involved with men who are BAD BOYS. I have friends who would like to get married (men) who say, I don't have enough “swag”, aggression or an edgy appearance to attract a woman. These men have jobs, are not glittery, are decent guys and are more academically inclined, yet they are more marginalized and insulted. It's a culture problem. A toxic culture problem.

4. Our toxic culture is when men are marginalized and their households become matriarchal. Watch any sitcom on TV. What do you see? We no longer have heads of households that are male as a symbol. I like the Obama household for that reason, but the toxic culture keeps thinking that if Barack got out of order Michelle would kill him. That underlying attitude is evidence of the toxic culture. Men simply can't seem to avoid being a doormat if they marry. Watch the harpies on Jerry Springer and Mory Povich. Cultural icons. Watch Housewives of anywhere. What kind of men are these that live with these demons? The result of this is a textbook look at where we are in our culture: Men have high unemployment and incarceration rates, and young boys are be prone to violence, academic reticence, and poor performance in school. Nearly 70% of undergraduate and graduate degrees are earned by females. Men are practically disappearing from the higher echelons of the professional world and leave those women without suitable mates. These women will then proceed to ponder where all the good men went. They are there but don't want the abuse.

5. Our toxic culture is where boys and men are not valued for who they are as men.
There is an ANTI MALE attitude in our culture. Not just with women, with the whole culture. The term is Misandry.  We don't want testosterone. They are violent. We want nice namby pamby men. Except we admire those with some testosterone. Our Toxic culture wants men to go to war, to build buildings, to keep the electricity on, water flowing and climb up those cell towers to make sure our I-phones still work, but we won't celebrate them. The feminization of our culture is toxic. Little boys no longer can play cops and robbers. Making a gun shape by your finger is considered a hate crime. It has become the subject of TV and movies. Verbal castration of men who demonstrate some maleness is in our public discourse. Public education is the core of this problem. Anti Male acculturation.

It sounds like I am hard on women in all this. I am not. Women are the victims of bad culture. They have culturally bought into a lie and are living it out on life's stage destroying what once was. The multiple nuclear bombs of societal cultural decline are going off. The end game is already on display. I am here to call out the toxic culture and to demand that the Church of Jesus begin to address this for what it is. Most churches have bought into the lie that MEN need to be more like WOMEN. Most church training for men is focused on neutering the males in their church. They don't understand the situation so they try to fix the wrong things. I refuse to be part of any such action. I am taking a stand. Let's get real about this issue. Our culture is in free fall and ONLY the church can catch it. We should be the one place where it can happen. The Church should be a beacon to the world. It is not.

It wasn’t always like this. Americans used to have more stable families and much lower illegitimacy rates than we have now. They were less obese. Men were valued once, less marginalized and expendable than they are now considered to be. We didn't deal with every expression of being a man by hauling them into a courtroom or a jailhouse. I know too many divorced dads living on the ragged edge of the law abused by a system designed to catch them at being a man.

This is a toxic culture, we are all victims, proponents and participants.

Time to man up men, and women let your man be one.

Where dd he GO?

As we head into the next debt-ceiling debate, it's worth considering these words from a patriotic senator concerned with America's future:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. . . . It is a sign that the U.S. government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."

The senator? Sen. Barack Obama, in 2006.

I wish that guy was President now.

TOO MUCH

Last weekend was considered by many to be the greatest weekend for football of the year. WHY. 8 teams. 4 games. Everyone watched. Everyone was engaged. OK in fairness not EVERYONE watched. MOST. What made is so great? Focus. It's what makes the final four great about the time the elite 8 are sorted out. It's what makes baseball playoffs great... San Francisco Cardinals. The Super Bowl is anti-climatic. Even this coming weekend is bound to be more vanilla than cayenne. I hated this year's bowl season for college football. Yes I watched a few, but they were meaningless. Alabama Notre Dame was interesting for a while until it was no longer. When I lived in Germany we had only a few sports teams we followed. Not the plethora you see today. The cereal Aisle was the same. There were a dozen cereals for sale. It was enough. In the usa, the amount of choice means no one focuses. Here's my point. WE HAVE too many sports teams AND the seasons are too long. Simplify. It's a metaphor for our cultural crisis.

Lightweight Believers

This has been a concern of mine for a while. We have a generation of Christians in name only. They don't comprehend spiritually what they claim to believe. They are operating at far below any impact they have on the world around them. A mile wide and an inch deep spiritually. We have allowed our culture to impact our Christian life to the point where there is nothing left of being a Christian as the culture pushes us around. IT is the work of Holy Spirit to sanctify the saint of God. Many churches who have this shallowness problem don't welcome Holy Spirit. Teaching, preaching, good worship, videos, child care. ALL GOOD....but unsanctified lightweight believers is the net result.

Why do you go to Church?

Tradition? Kids need to learn about Jesus? Friends? Guilt? Involvement in something? Recognition? To do good works? Is that why people gathered in the Book of Acts? Is that what was going on in the early persecuted church?

Is that why people gather today in humble places in Nigeria in fear of their lives, in China, in Burma. In IRAN even? Are they gathering to hear a man speak of a bible story or text and then in twenty or thirty minutes... stop, take an offering and bless them as they go home?

NO... those people are hungry and thirsty for a supernatural word of life. Hope. A faith filled prayer that somehow daily bread will come. That deliverance from evil will manifest. Not a rote prayer, a prayer of desperation. Their worship is connecting them with the eternal God thru faith, not just singing a song.

In NJ a women has been removed from her position as a teacher, because she posted from her own home on her FB that she did not support homosexuality because the bible says it is sin. Her name is Mrs. Knox keep her in prayer she is undergoing investigation. Another pastor in NY is too being questioned for a similar comment.

IF God has to, he will allow Christians in the western church to become as desperate as those in countries where the very act of meeting together is a life threatening event. He loves us too much not to. He will have a pure passionate church. The Kingdom will advance in spite of the fact that a rattle of the door handle can mean meeting Jesus face to face in the next few seconds. We have so much growing up to do.. I don't want persecution, but if that's what it takes..... Evenso COME

I guess I'm a bit surprised by all this...

USA is the nation with most debt by far in the history of human civilization.

USA's total debt, including personal debt, real estate (mortgage) debt, consumer debt, credit card debt and government debt totals  a mega $47,992 Billion USD ($47.9 trillion), roughly 2400 trucks full of money. Source: US Debt Clock

USA borrowed $1229 billion in 2011 - roughly 2.5x towers of cash in the background. USA runs a mega ~35% budget deficit,  far above the 3% max limit set by EU for economic stability standard.

Yet our leaders tell us, we don't have a debt problem, we have a revenue problem. I guess they think we are very very stupid. Based on the last election they may be right.

What if Money Was No Object in your life? What would you do?

This is not only inspiring, it is more true than anyone comprehends

this is creepy in more ways than I can say... just creepy

Why I don't trust the government

This is not as it should be... and people wonder why I don't trust the government. They do NOTHING right.

Don’t waste another four years obsessing over whether Barack Obama is a secret Muslim Kenyan Commie

Two Worlds

Interesting. It's very hard to live in two worlds. Entertainment world and the world many of us live in. I know this paradox. The pressures to conform to the world are difficult to deal with. As a person with political intrusts and as a businessman, the world is often too much with me. I pray for her to find balance in an imbalanced life. She is targeted because she represents a potential testimony that overcomes. The devil will do all he can to derail her.

TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS

I started reading this blog and it didn't stop for a while. I found it very interesting and enlightening. IF you struggle with difficult people in your life, you will find this very helpful. There are over 50 topics revealing how toxic relationships sap your strength. The one that hit me pretty hard was "Gaslighting". I have been Gaslit. IF you don't find the study of human relationships engaging... don't bother. There were some OUCH articles as well. Toxic can go both ways.

The end of the Republican Party and possibly the United States

Barack Obama is moving forward with two of his cherished goals.  One is destroying the Republican Party and the other is destroying the United States of America.    In both cases, Obama’s efforts are being aided and abetted by the Republican Party.

What is going on?

Barack Obama is planning his second term assault on America and one of the centerpieces of that assault is a bill to grant full Amnesty to 11 millions illegal aliens.

To call this a disaster would be an understatement.

We have been down this road before.

The first and most important thing for Americans is that we secure our southern border.   This will not happen under the Obama bill.  In 1986 when Ronald Reagan signed off on Amnesty, he was promised that if he agreed to Amnesty, the southern border would be secured.

Twenty-Six years later, we are still waiting.

Charley Reese's Final column!

A very interesting column. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL.
Be sure to Read the Poem at the end..

Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel... He has been a journalist for 49 years. He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN.

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000 People
-By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President's proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees... We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,

Then tax him some more,

He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees... We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'
I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

"I hate Public Education" Rant

This is a "I hate Public Education" Rant... Public Schools don't work... and they are causing much of the problems we see on out streets.  Bring back Shop class.  Make that bookshelf.  Learn to shoot.  Learn to camp out.  Teach boys to be men.  Our young boys quit school at a much higher rate then our young girls.  They go out on the streets or get in trouble in the classroom.  Sports while good are not an option.  Teach them a skill... one they can use later.

The primary & secondary public education system in this country has turned into a feminized control freak minimum security prison where any behavior other than sitting at a desk quietly is has become criminalized.

Men have be driven out of the education system by feminized entrenched bureaucracies pushing agendas and requirements that men & boys largely recoil from. Boys fail because they resent being bossed around by women. They need men modeling manly behavior. Not more bossy mommying.

Boys are action oriented. It is just plain unnatural for them to sit at desks all day mindlessly doing whatever completely irrelevant (to their lives) exercise is put in front of them.

21 Ways Rich People Think Differently

World's richest woman Gina Rinehart is enduring a media firestorm over an article in which she takes the "jealous" middle class to task for "drinking, or smoking and socializing" rather than working to earn their own fortune.

What if she has a point?

Steve Siebold, author of "How Rich People Think," spent nearly three decades interviewing millionaires around the world to find out what separates them from everyone else.

It had little to do with money itself, he told Business Insider. It was about their mentality.

"[The middle class] tells people to be happy with what they have," he said. "And on the whole, most people are steeped in fear when it comes to money."

1. Average people think MONEY is the root of all evil. Rich people believe POVERTY is the root of all evil.

"The average person has been brainwashed to believe rich people are lucky or dishonest," Siebold writes.

That's why there's a certain shame that comes along with "getting rich" in lower-income communities.

"The world class knows that while having money doesn't guarantee happiness, it does make your life easier and more enjoyable."

2. Average people think selfishness is a vice. Rich people think selfishness is a virtue.

"The rich go out there and try to make themselves happy. They don't try to pretend to save the world," Siebold told Business Insider.

The problem is that middle class people see that as a negative––and it's keeping them poor, he writes.

"If you're not taking care of you, you're not in a position to help anyone else. You can't give what you don't have."

3. Average people have a lottery mentality. Rich people have an action mentality.

"While the masses are waiting to pick the right numbers and praying for prosperity, the great ones are solving problems," Siebold writes.

"The hero [middle class people] are waiting for may be God, government, their boss or their spouse. It's the average person's level of thinking that breeds this approach to life and living while the clock keeps ticking away."

Young people are screwed… Here’s how to survive

HEY - kids, you’ve all read “The Hunger Games,” right? Almost all young people have read the best-selling books or seen the Hollywood movie about Katniss Everdeen, a smart and ambitious young lady whose life prospects are diminished by historical events that predate her. What little hope she has is seemingly reduced to nil when a bunch of old people drop her into an arena and force her to fight with her fellow children in a battle royale to the death.
But that’s just fiction, right? Your loving parents and grandparents would never screw up their world and then throw you kids under the bus…or would they?

Actually, they already have.

Last week, the economics blog Calculated Risk ran a chart that tells a pretty compelling story. To an economist, this chart means that the magnitude and duration of the 2007 recession’s impact on unemployment outpaces that of any prior post-war recession. To young people, it simply means this…

You kids are screwed.

"It can't happen here."

The Second Amendment is Obsolete, some say.  The idea that the United States could ever turn tyrannical is pure paranoia, some say.

Well, let's look at that.

Rounding up people and sending them to concentration camps (whether called "reservations" or "relocation centers"). Check. (Treatment of Native Americans.  Japanese-American "Relocation Centers" during World War II).

Illegal medical experiments involving infecting people with diseases, not treating them, and observing the effects done on people without their knowledge or consent. Check. (Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment--and particularly interesting how that was "explained" to the victims as they were getting free health care from the US Government.)

Arbitrary searches of American citizens' households aimed at the seizure of property without either probable cause or any kind of warrant. Check. (post-Katrina gun Confiscation)

Laws passed allowing the indefinite detention of American Citizens without due process of law. Check. (NDAA 2012)

American citizens going about their daily business being stopped and searched again without probable cause or any kind of warrant (or even the "reasonably articulable suspicion" for a "Terry Stop"). Check. (TSA, not just at Airports, but at bus terminals, rail and subway terminals, highways, even High School Proms.)

"Can't happen here?" It has and is happening here.
